Maanesten
Maanesten was founded in 2010 by jewelry designer Lotte Callesen, who wanted to create a dreamy universe of feminine, spiritual and handmade jewelry. Maanesten unites organic shapes, colorful stones and a poetic, bohemian expression, inspired by the magic of nature and inner peace. The collections include earrings, rings, bracelets, anklets and necklaces in silver and gold-plated silver, designed to be mixed and matched so each wearer can create their own personal, intuitive look and a wealth of accessories to complement the full expression. Maanesten stands out with its artistic craftsmanship, its adventurous design language and its unique ability to unite everyday luxury with spiritual aesthetics.
Waterproof jewelry
"Water-resistant jewelry" is jewelry that can withstand water in everyday life - such as hand washing and light rain - without changing expression quickly. It's all about the material and surface. Stainless steel and solid gold typically withstands water better than plated jewelry such as gold plated. In some cases, the following are also used PVD treatment (Physical Vapor Deposition), where a very thin, hard coating "bonds" to the surface and can provide better wear resistance than traditional coating - but it's still a surface that can eventually wear out depending on use. Jewelry with stones, beads or glue should generally be kept dry.
Silver Sterling 925
Sterling silver 925 is one of the most used materials for jewelry. "925" means that the jewelry consists of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, which makes it more robust for everyday wear. It gives a classic silver look that's easy to style, and with simple care, the jewelry can stay beautiful for a long time.
More about Roxy Earrings
The Roxy earrings from Maanesten are created to remind you of your inner strength and unique radiance. The design plays with the illusion of limelight, floating lightly around the ear and capturing the beauty that only exists in moments where the stage meets the soul. This is jewellery that symbolises the courage to stand out, be original and let yourself shine wherever you are.
As part of the AW25: Urban Theatre collection, the Roxy Earrings are inspired by the enchanting world of theatre. The collection is a tribute to the human need to express oneself, change roles and at the same time stand strong in one's own authenticity. Roxy is created to capture the essence of the power of the spotlight and translate it into a timeless piece of jewellery that can be worn with everyday simple outfits and for those big moments where you want to be the centre of attention.
Maanesten is known for creating jewellery that combines poetry, function and quality. The brand always works with genuine sterling silver and 18 kt. gold-plated sterling silver, and all collections are made from 100% recycled materials. In this way, modern design is combined with conscious choices that make it possible to wear the jewellery with both joy and care.
