Water-resistant jewelry
"Water-resistant jewelry" is jewelry that can withstand water in everyday life - such as hand washing and light rain - without changing expression quickly. It's all about the material and surface. Stainless steel and solid gold typically withstands water better than plated jewelry such as gold plated. In some cases, the following are also used PVD treatment (Physical Vapor Deposition), where a very thin, hard coating "bonds" to the surface and can provide better wear resistance than traditional coating - but it's still a surface that can eventually wear out depending on use. Jewelry with stones, beads or glue should generally be kept dry.
Gold plated sterling silver 925
Gold plated sterling silver 925 is real sterling silver (92.5% silver) with a thin layer of gold on the surface, which gives a warm gold colored look. Gold plating is typically done with gold in approximately 18-22 carats, and the color can therefore vary in tone. As the coating is a surface, the finish is best maintained with gentle use and proper care.
Silver Sterling 925
Sterling silver 925 is one of the most used materials for jewelry. "925" means that the jewelry consists of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, which makes it more robust for everyday wear. It gives a classic silver look that's easy to style, and with simple care, the jewelry can stay beautiful for a long time.
Zirconia - colors, difference from diamond and care
Zirconia (often called cubic zirconia/CZ) is a popular synthetic stone that resembles a diamond thanks to its clear shine and strong light reflection. The most common colour is clear/white, but zirconia is also available in many colours such as blue, green, pink, and champagne. It is widely used in jewellery because it delivers an exclusive look at a more accessible price point. Zirconia has a consistent appearance and can be cut into many shapes, making it suitable for both minimalist and more eye-catching designs. With proper care, zirconia can stay beautiful for a long time.
More about Eliori Twinkle Earrings
The Eliori Twinkle earrings from Maanesten are a stunning, elegant and eye-catching pair of earrings that combine a light heart-shaped element with fine chain details and small sparkling stones. The design has a beautiful, balanced look where the long lines add movement and the small stones add a subtle sparkle that catches the light as you move.
The earrings have a more "light and airy" silhouette than classic studs, which is why they are perfect when you want to add something extra to an outfit - without it feeling heavy. The long, thin chain gives an elegant drop and makes Eliori Twinkle ideal for both everyday wear and more festive occasions where you want a complete look.
You can wear Eliori Twinkle alone as a statement piece, or style them with smaller hoops or studs to create a personalized ear stack. They also go well with other Maanesten jewelry if you love to mix and match.
Eliori Twinkle is available in both a warm golden tone and a cool silver tone, so you can easily choose the version that best suits your style and your other jewelry.
