Waterproof jewelry
"Water-resistant jewelry" is jewelry that can withstand water in everyday life - such as hand washing and light rain - without changing expression quickly. It's all about the material and surface. Stainless steel and solid gold typically withstands water better than plated jewelry such as gold plated. In some cases, the following are also used PVD treatment (Physical Vapor Deposition), where a very thin, hard coating "bonds" to the surface and can provide better wear resistance than traditional coating - but it's still a surface that can eventually wear out depending on use. Jewelry with stones, beads or glue should generally be kept dry.
Gold plated sterling silver 925
Gold plated sterling silver 925 is real sterling silver (92.5% silver) with a thin layer of gold on the surface, which gives a warm gold colored look. Gold plating is typically done with gold in approximately 18-22 carats, and the color can therefore vary in tone. As the coating is a surface, the finish is best maintained with gentle use and proper care.
Malachite - colors, patterns and jewelry care
Malachite is a distinctive green stone known for its beautiful bands and stripes in shades ranging from light green to deep, dark green. Each malachite stone is unique because the patterns form naturally and can resemble waves, rings, or “vein-like” markings. It is often used in jewellery, where it adds an elegant, slightly artistic expression—especially paired with gold, but it also looks great in silver. Malachite is typically opaque rather than transparent, with rich colour depth and a smooth sheen when polished. It requires a bit more care than many other stones, particularly when it comes to water, chemicals, and impacts.
