"Water-resistant jewelry" is jewelry that can withstand water in everyday life - such as hand washing and light rain - without changing expression quickly. It's all about the material and surface. In some cases, the following are also used PVD treatment (Physical Vapor Deposition), where a very thin, hard coating "bonds" to the surface and can provide better wear resistance than traditional coating - but it's still a surface that can eventually wear out depending on use. Jewelry with stones, beads or glue should generally be kept dry.

Gold plated sterling silver 925 is real sterling silver (92.5% silver) with a thin layer of gold on the surface, which gives a warm gold colored look. Gold plating is typically done with gold in approximately 18-22 carats, and the color can therefore vary in tone. As the coating is a surface, the finish is best maintained with gentle use and proper care.
