Water-resistant jewelry
"Water-resistant jewelry" is jewelry that can withstand water in everyday life - such as hand washing and light rain - without changing expression quickly. It's all about the material and surface. Stainless steel and solid gold typically withstands water better than plated jewelry such as gold plated. In some cases, the following are also used PVD treatment (Physical Vapor Deposition), where a very thin, hard coating "bonds" to the surface and can provide better wear resistance than traditional coating - but it's still a surface that can eventually wear out depending on use. Jewelry with stones, beads or glue should generally be kept dry.
Nylon
Nylon is a lightweight and durable material that is often used in accessories because it holds its shape well and can withstand a lot in everyday life. It's especially popular in hair accessories and practical details where you want a material that is strong, flexible and easy to maintain. Nylon typically feels smooth and can give a more "clean" and durable look.
Gold-plated stainless steel
Gold-plated stainless steel is stainless steel with a thin layer of gold on the surface, which gives a warm gold colored look. Stainless steel is popular in jewelry because it is strong, dimensionally stable and suitable for everyday use. The golden tone can vary depending on the coating and with gentle care, the finish retains its good looks for longer.
More about FSTS Bracelet Green with Gold Plated 316L Stainless Steel Peace Dove Lock
From Soldier to Soldier is an FSTS bracelet in green parachute cord - "parachute cord with history and made to last". The green color gives a calm, natural look with clear references to the military and outdoor life, while the dense braiding makes the bracelet robust and comfortable to wear in everyday life. The bracelet is finished with a clasp in gold-plated 316L stainless steel with a dove of peace motif, which adds a strong symbolism: hope, peace and what you return home to. The warm gold plating enhances the whole and creates a beautiful contrast to the green line - a signature bracelet that has both edge and meaning.
About From Soldier to Soldier
From Soldier to Soldier is Aagaard's bracelet collection rooted in a soldier tradition where parachute lines (paracord) braided into bracelets as a symbol of community and strong bonds.
The story is specifically based on 2008 where the soldier Stefan Hylleborg while deployed in Afghanistan was inspired by an American paratrooper and started making bracelets that were quickly used for fundraising and support - later put into production via Aagaard.
