Water-resistant jewelry
"Water-resistant jewelry" is jewelry that can withstand water in everyday life - such as hand washing and light rain - without changing expression quickly. It's all about the material and surface. Stainless steel and solid gold typically withstands water better than plated jewelry such as gold plated. In some cases, the following are also used PVD treatment (Physical Vapor Deposition), where a very thin, hard coating "bonds" to the surface and can provide better wear resistance than traditional coating - but it's still a surface that can eventually wear out depending on use. Jewelry with stones, beads or glue should generally be kept dry.
Silver Sterling 925
Sterling silver 925 is one of the most used materials for jewelry. "925" means that the jewelry consists of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, which makes it more robust for everyday wear. It gives a classic silver look that's easy to style, and with simple care, the jewelry can stay beautiful for a long time.
Gold plated sterling silver 925
Gold plated sterling silver 925 is real sterling silver (92.5% silver) with a thin layer of gold on the surface, which gives a warm gold colored look. Gold plating is typically done with gold in approximately 18-22 carats, and the color can therefore vary in tone. As the coating is a surface, the finish is best maintained with gentle use and proper care.
Agate - colors, patterns and jewelry care
Agate is a popular stone known for its beautiful layers and banding, which can range from calm, even tones to bold stripes and patterns. It comes in many colours—often white, grey, black, brown, blue, green, and pink—and some agates are dyed/treated to create extra vivid colours. Agate is typically opaque to slightly translucent and is often polished smooth so the patterns stand out beautifully. In jewellery, agate creates a natural, slightly artistic look that works for both minimalist and more colourful designs. It is relatively durable, but like all stones it stays best-looking with gentle care.
More about Red Agate & Pink Moonstone Drop Earrings
The Red Agate & Pink Moonstone Drop Earrings have a light and elegant look, where long, fine chains create movement and a refined drop in the design. The slim lines give the earrings an airy and feminine look, while the combination of red agate and pink moonstone adds color, warmth and a more personal touch. The overall look is decorative without losing its simplicity, creating a balanced and modern look.
The colored stones create a vibrant play in the design, where the contrast between the warm and soft shades supports the organic character of the jewelry. The golden finish ties the elements together and emphasizes the depth and glow of the stones. The earrings are made in 925 gold-plated sterling silver, ensuring a classic base and a timeless material choice with high versatility.
