Water-resistant jewelry
"Water-resistant jewelry" is jewelry that can withstand water in everyday life - such as hand washing and light rain - without changing expression quickly. It's all about the material and surface. Stainless steel and solid gold typically withstands water better than plated jewelry such as gold plated. In some cases, the following are also used PVD treatment (Physical Vapor Deposition), where a very thin, hard coating "bonds" to the surface and can provide better wear resistance than traditional coating - but it's still a surface that can eventually wear out depending on use. Jewelry with stones, beads or glue should generally be kept dry.
Silver Sterling 925
Sterling silver 925 is one of the most used materials for jewelry. "925" means that the jewelry consists of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, which makes it more robust for everyday wear. It gives a classic silver look that's easy to style, and with simple care, the jewelry can stay beautiful for a long time.
Gold plated sterling silver 925
Gold plated sterling silver 925 is real sterling silver (92.5% silver) with a thin layer of gold on the surface, which gives a warm gold colored look. Gold plating is typically done with gold in approximately 18-22 carats, and the color can therefore vary in tone. As the coating is a surface, the finish is best maintained with gentle use and proper care.
Freshwater pearls - colors, authenticity and care
Freshwater pearls are genuine, naturally formed pearls created inside freshwater mussels and known for their soft, elegant lustre. They typically appear in white and cream tones, but can also show pink, peach, or subtle lavender undertones. Unlike mother-of-pearl, which is material from the shell, freshwater pearls are the pearl itself—often round or slightly oval with natural variations. This makes each pearl unique and creates a more organic, luxurious look. Freshwater pearls require gentle care, especially regarding perfume, hairspray, and prolonged contact with water.
More about Freshwater Pearl Half Hoop Earrings
The Freshwater Pearl Half Hoop Earrings have an elegant and characterful look, combining a wide hoop shape with a raw, textured surface and a decorative freshwater pearl pendant. The textured metal surface gives the piece depth and a more organic feel, while the soft pearl adds a feminine and classic counterpoint. The overall look is both refined and natural in its expression.
The design balances the exclusive and the raw, making the earrings suitable for both everyday wear and more dressy occasions. The contrast between the golden finish, the vibrant structure and the soft glow of the pearl creates a harmonious and modern overall impression. The earrings are made in 925 gold-plated sterling silver with freshwater pearl details, ensuring a timeless and durable material choice.
