Water-resistant jewelry
"Water-resistant jewelry" is jewelry that can withstand water in everyday life - such as hand washing and light rain - without changing expression quickly. It's all about the material and surface. Stainless steel and solid gold typically withstands water better than plated jewelry such as gold plated. In some cases, the following are also used PVD treatment (Physical Vapor Deposition), where a very thin, hard coating "bonds" to the surface and can provide better wear resistance than traditional coating - but it's still a surface that can eventually wear out depending on use. Jewelry with stones, beads or glue should generally be kept dry.
Silver Sterling 925
Sterling silver 925 is one of the most used materials for jewelry. "925" means that the jewelry consists of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, which makes it more robust for everyday wear. It gives a classic silver look that's easy to style, and with simple care, the jewelry can stay beautiful for a long time.
Gold plated sterling silver 925
Gold plated sterling silver 925 is real sterling silver (92.5% silver) with a thin layer of gold on the surface, which gives a warm gold colored look. Gold plating is typically done with gold in approximately 18-22 carats, and the color can therefore vary in tone. As the coating is a surface, the finish is best maintained with gentle use and proper care.
Freshwater pearls - colors, authenticity and care
Freshwater pearls are genuine, naturally formed pearls created inside freshwater mussels and known for their soft, elegant lustre. They typically appear in white and cream tones, but can also show pink, peach, or subtle lavender undertones. Unlike mother-of-pearl, which is material from the shell, freshwater pearls are the pearl itself—often round or slightly oval with natural variations. This makes each pearl unique and creates a more organic, luxurious look. Freshwater pearls require gentle care, especially regarding perfume, hairspray, and prolonged contact with water.
More about Freshwater Pearl Chain Earrings
The Freshwater Pearl Chain Earrings have a light and airy look where a fine chain falls elegantly and is finished with a single freshwater pearl that acts as a soft and natural center of gravity in the design. The long, simple shape gives the piece a modern and feminine flow, and the combination of the slender chain and the organic glow of the pearl creates a stylish contrast that is both simple and refined. The golden finish emphasizes the classic look and adds a warm tone that works beautifully with everyday simple looks as well as more dressy occasions.
The earrings are crafted in gold-plated sterling silver 925 with freshwater pearl details, where the gold-plated finish gives a warm tone while sterling silver 925 forms the solid base. The freshwater pearl adds a natural finesse that elevates the simple material choice.
