Water-resistant jewelry
"Water-resistant jewelry" is jewelry that can withstand water in everyday life - such as hand washing and light rain - without changing expression quickly. It's all about the material and surface. Stainless steel and solid gold typically withstands water better than plated jewelry such as gold plated. In some cases, the following are also used PVD treatment (Physical Vapor Deposition), where a very thin, hard coating "bonds" to the surface and can provide better wear resistance than traditional coating - but it's still a surface that can eventually wear out depending on use. Jewelry with stones, beads or glue should generally be kept dry.
Silver Sterling 925
Sterling silver 925 is one of the most used materials for jewelry. "925" means that the jewelry consists of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, which makes it more robust for everyday wear. It gives a classic silver look that's easy to style, and with simple care, the jewelry can stay beautiful for a long time.
Gold plated sterling silver 925
Gold plated sterling silver 925 is real sterling silver (92.5% silver) with a thin layer of gold on the surface, which gives a warm gold colored look. Gold plating is typically done with gold in approximately 18-22 carats, and the color can therefore vary in tone. As the coating is a surface, the finish is best maintained with gentle use and proper care.
Onyx - color, authenticity and jewelry care
Onyx is a classic stone most often known for its deep black colour, though it can also be found in green and pink shades. It has a smooth, elegant surface and a clean, graphic look. In jewellery, black onyx is the most popular because it goes with everything and creates a sophisticated style. Onyx is typically opaque and often polished to a high shine, giving it an exclusive, minimalist feel. It looks great in both silver and gold and is ideal if you want a stone detail without sparkle. With normal care, onyx stays beautiful for a long time.
More about Black Onyx & Green Amazonite Drop Earrings
The Black Onyx & Green Amazonite Drop Earrings have a light and elegant look, where long, fine chains create movement and a refined drop in the design. The slender lines give the earrings an airy and feminine look, while the combination of black onyx and green amazonite creates a striking contrast between dark and light tones. This gives the jewelry depth, character and a more modern, personal touch.
The stones add a vibrant play of color, with the dark onyx emphasizing structure and heaviness, while the green hue of amazonite adds lightness and freshness. The golden finish ties the elements together and emphasizes the contrast in the materials, resulting in a harmonious and decorative overall impression. The earrings are made of 925 gold-plated sterling silver, ensuring a classic base with high versatility.
