Internship at A-Hjort - Sara og Natalie

Today you will hear from our two sweet interns, Sara and Natalie, who have been with us for three months as part of their educations, International Hospitality Management and Digital Concept Development at UCL in Odense, respectively. It is their last day today, and they will tell a little about everyday life as an intern here at A-Hjort. :-)
Their tasks have ranged from setting up showrooms - including a lot of DIY projects where creativity came into play -, purchasing meetings, creating products, preparing material for SoMe, SEO texts, preparing new graphic material and much more.

Quotes from the interns:

"It has been so cool to be an intern at A-Hjort. We have been given lots of freedom, responsibility for our own learning and the opportunity to make our mark on the company." - Sara

"The 3 months have just flown away. It's been cool to get so many different assignments, and it's been cool to be able to save with another intern." - Natalie

How did you find A-Hjort?

Sara:
I already knew about A-Hjort, as I have shopped here before. When I saw an internship jobposting on UCL's job portal, I had no doubt at all that I would apply here.

Natalie:
I saw the post on UCL's job portal, and searched right away as it sounded like some cool assignments.

How do you think your time in internship has been?

Sara:
First, it's flown away - it does not feel like three months. It has been so cool to be recognized as an equal whose meaning also has value. So it has just been a cool experience - but my wallet is suffering a bit now that I have been tempted by so many beautiful pieces of jewelry. Among other things, I bought a V-ring and Row Twist Hoops from Jane Kønig, a Sonar ring from Maanesten,
Tres Petit La Mer Earstick as well as Confetti Pearl Necklace from Stine A and really (really!) Many other earrings.

Natalie:
It's been really cool! I’ve been given a lot of cool assignments, so there’s always been something to do. It has also been really cool to be allowed to be a part of the startup of the showroom. And like Sara, I also have a little pain in my wallet, I have fallen in love with so much jewelry! Among other things, a Reflection Signet Ring from Jane Kønig, Therese Necklace from Pernille Corydon, Arvia Ring from Maanesten, Velvet Ring from Stine A ... and many more!

If you have to highlight one or two work tasks during the internship that you are most proud to have shaped, which is it?

Sara:
I am most proud to have shaped our new brand, Jane Kønig, where I have been given responsibility for all text constitution and landing pages.

Natalie:
I think it has been great to get my hands free with the SoMe channels, and to help plan the course around a showroom.

Would you recommend A-Hjort to other students?

Sara:
Yes, to a very high degree. I have been to another internship before, and if I compare it to this internship, I have been allowed to do much more and have learned much more. My internship here has really contributed to my job readiness.

Natalie:
Yes, I could. As I said, time has passed really fast, which is just proof that it has been cool. It is especially cool if you are interested in the products, as it makes the work even more exciting.

It's been three wonderful, learning months, so now we want to say thank you so much for this time. :-)
